Musk has staked his entire fortune on self-driving cars and Mars. Both are money pits and he is beginning to feel the pinch. He wouldn’t expect our sympathy – he’s an entrepreneur, it’s what he does – but I for one will feel sad if such a magnificent gamble doesn’t at least partially pay off. Musk thinks big, and that’s a human strength that makes the money seem very unimportant.
I can’t help him materially, but in his honour I shall try to think a little bigger from now on.
